This smaller sailboat based off a fleet of boats my grandfather, his brother, and a friend built in Indiana.
Their boats are called Inland Cats and they're like a larger version of a Laser sailboat. From my understanding the fleet was handmade by the three of them specifically for Lake George, Indiana. If you Wikipedia the boats you'll find a decent bit of information on them.
